How to Add Text Animation in After Effect Tutorial?

If you’re new to Adobe After Effects, you’ll have a lot to learn about the new cool techniques, plugins, tools, options, and settings. Even if you’re an experienced After Effect user, you’ll soon understand there’s no end to it. Learning new text animation techniques will go a long way toward assisting you in creating aesthetically engaging videos.

The word animator feature in After Effects lets you add text animation to your videos in a variety of ways. This isn’t the only way to create beautiful word animations. In this video, we’ve put together 4 different ways to animate text in After Effects. So, let’s get started.

Different types of text animation:

Text animations come in a wide variety of styles. However, the text animations listed below are the most widely employed.

  • Text to compositions.
  • Animation with text presets.
  • Animation of text letter by letter
  • Type pop with graphic elements

How to Use Text Animation: The following are the steps to using text animations in After Effects.

Text Animation 1: Create a new composition called Text Animation 1, change the resolution to 1920 x 1080, and then touch okay. Duplicate this composition until you have five in the Project Panel, so we can store them all for later. To add a new text layer, open the Text Animation 1 composition and use the Text tool to click on it. Type “Fade On” in the text box (or whatever you want). Select Opacity from the Animate menu and rotate the layer down. As a result of this, a new Animator is created. In the Animator, reduce the opacity to 0%. Select Opacity from the Animate menu and rotate the layer down. As a result of this, a new Animator is created. In the Animator, reduce the opacity to 0%. Twirl down the Range Selector and then the Advanced menu to change Shape to Ramp Up, Ease High and Ease Low to 50%, and Randomize Order On. At frame 0, create a keyframe for the Offset with a value of -100. Move the play head to frame 45 and set the Offset to 100 percent. Use the Add option to the right of the Animator to add a Blur. The blur value should be set to ten. It’s as simple as that.

Text Animation 2: In Text Animation 2, create a new text layer and write “Masked.” Select Position from the Animate menu after rotating the text layer down. In the new animator, change the Y position value so that the text is shown below where it began. Reduce the size of the Advanced and Range Selector menus. Set the Ease Low to 100 percent and the Shape to Ramp Up. Set a keyframe for Offset at frame 0 with a value of -100 percent. At frame 30, change the Offset value to 100 percent. While keeping the playhead at frame 30, draw a rectangle mask around the text, making sure not to leave too much room at the bottom.

Text Animation 3: In Text Animation 3, create a new text layer that says “Tracking.” Select Opacity from the Animate menu and rotate the text layer down. In the new animator, select Property > Tracking from the add button. Set the Tracking Amount to 100 and the Opacity to 0% (on the animator’s layer, not the layer’s). Reduce the size of the Advanced and Range Selector menus. Under Advanced, change Based On to Words. Under Range Selector, create a keyframe for Start with a value of 0% at frame 0. Increase the Start value to 100 percent at frame 60. By right-clicking the second keyframe, go to Keyframe Assistant > Easy Ease. Right-click it again and select Keyframe Velocity from the menu.

Text Animation 4: In Text Animation 4, create a new text layer and type “Type On.” Select Opacity from the Animate menu and rotate the text layer down. In the new animator, change the Opacity parameter to 0%. Reduce the size of the Advanced and Range Selector menus. In Advanced, smoothness should be set to 0%. Under Range Selector, create a keyframe for Start with a value of 0% at frame 0. Then, at frame 40, set the Start value to 100 percent. The building’s number four has left.

Final Thoughts: The four basic text animations in After Effects are shown above. If you need tutorials, you can always look them up on YouTube. You may find a number of after-effect tutorials on YouTube. The only issue with YouTube is that it is difficult to learn new things quickly. The videos are not organized in any way.
